7th/8th Grade Band FAQ
Q. What is 7th/8th Grade Band?
A. 7th/8th Grade Band is the class that students register for as one of their daily classes. Students will practice the chosen pieces and perform at three concerts during the school year. You can sign up for band even if you’ve never taken it before, everyone is welcome.
Q. When does it meet?
A. 7th/8th Grade Band meets every day during the specified class period.
Q. When are concerts?
A. There are usually 3 concerts, dates and times are set at the beginning of the school year. The 6th Grade Band and 7th/8th Grade Band perform at the same concert. Band and Choir do not perform on the same night.
Q. Can I take both Band & Choir?
A. Yes, you can take both! If you chose to do both, you go to Band half the days and Choir the other half. A typical schedule is Choir on Monday and Wednesday, Band on Tuesday and Thursday, then you switch off on Friday.
